Ketchuptown, South Carolina

In 1927, Herbert Small opened a little country store that quickly became the local hangout. Farmers would get their goods from the market and then “catch up” on whatever news or gossip was being passed around. Soon enough, Saturday afternoons were the time to chat with everyone in the area. “Let’s go catch up on the news” became Ketchuptown.
