Kids on bicycles will ride by and ring their bells; old fashioned fudge stores still dot the streets; and well-preserved historic landmarks allow visitors to explore the past without the benefit of a time machine. One landmark, the Grand Hotel, looms largest, and may well be one of the most visited places on Mackinac. The Victorian-era hotel has been host to many famous faces, including Marilyn Monroe.
