Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, is a perfect example of a British colonial settlement. The town has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1995, and its old core has been a National Historic Site of Canada since 1991. History may not be your thing, but there’s no escaping the charm of Lunenburg’s architectural charm and peculiar design (which earned it the UNESCO designation) nor is there any refuge from the friendliness and affability of the locals.
