Chinook

Warm, dry, gusty winds that come down the leeward side of the Rocky Mountains and blow eastward in winter, causing summer-like conditions and giving southern Albertans a respite from the cold—and making other Canadians very, very jealous. Similar gusts in California are known as Santa Ana winds, which contributed to recent wildfires there.
