15 of the strangest place names in Canada

Climax, Saskatchewan

Never mind the innuendo attendant to Climax’s name, because it’s actually a pretty good pun considering Saskatchewan’s incredible flatness. Located in southwest Saskatchewan just north of the Canadian/American border, Climax only has about 200 citizens and is only about a kilometre in area. Gord Kluzak, drafted first overall by the Boston Bruins in 1982, is probably its most famous local son (although former Vancouver Canucks coach Willie Desjardins is also from the area).
