Skaha Beach

Size: Almost 12 km

Location: Just south of Penticton, British Columbia

What makes it unique: If you think valleys don’t contain beaches, think again. The Okanagan Valley boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the True North. Beach volleyball, a family-oriented adjacent park with tennis and basketball courts, a watersplash park, and a playground make this a terrific spot for everyone. Note: we haven’t even mentioned the actual beach.

Fun fact: During the yearly Peachfest in August, Skaha Beach hosts a sand art competition.
