They’re not a one trick pony

Mosquitoes don’t discriminate when it comes to diseases; they like to mix it up a little bit. Yellow fever, the zika virus, West Nile virus, lymphatic filariasis, and dengue fever can all be spread by mosquitoes (though yellow fever hasn’t shown up in the United States since 1905, when a shipment of bananas in New Orleans contained the virus).
