They plagued presidents

It’s true! Mosquitoes gave George Washington malaria. He contracted it around 17, and it never fully went away. If malaria isn’t treated within a certain amount of time, it can become chronic. Though the first president lived through many diseases, including smallpox, dysentery, and tuberculosis, the mighty mosquito was to blame for his malaria.
