Lake Superior is really big, part three

Not only is Lake Superior big and wide, it’s also very deep. Its deepest point is 1,276 feet, which makes it deeper than the Empire State Building is tall and twice as deep as St. Louis’s Gateway Arch is tall. Lake Superior’s depth is a large reason why it contains the 3 quadrillion gallons of water it does.
