Babe Ruth hit a home run into Lake Ontario

It’s weird to think of Babe Ruth not playing for the Yankees or the Red Sox, but before he was a household name, the Bambino played in the minor league for the Providence Grays. On September 5, 1914, while the Grays were on the road in Toronto (of all places), Ruth hit his first and only minor league home run over the right field wall, out of Hanlan’s Point Stadium, and into the drink.
