14 of the weirdest museums in Canada

The Bata Shoe Museum, Toronto, Ontario

Shoes aren’t weird, and you’re probably wearing some right now. That said, a museum devoted to shoes that houses, among other things, French chestnut crushing boots, isn’t exactly run-of-the-mill normal either. And, if you think those shoes are strange, make sure to check out the pair of velvet-covered platform chopines from 16th Century Italy. If you were wearing them, you’d need help walking because there’s no way you’d be able to balance.
