14 amazing places to surf in Canada

Ingonish Beach, Nova Scotia

Lawrencetown’s lesser known, quieter, but equally amazing cousin Ingonish is in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The waves aren’t as consistent as Lawrencetown’s, however the spring and winter waves offer some unique east coast rides. When it’s going, there’s pretty good surf at all stages of the tide and it is seldom crowded here, but be on the lookout for sharks (no, seriously) and wear your wetsuit!
